Please note that after repeated declined orders in one day, an account will be temporarily frozen. This will last for 24 hours after the time of the last order. If you are still having trouble, you can contact Customer Service.
It is very possible you have an old account with us; having two accounts causes this conflict. Our system is now set up to prevent multiple accounts with the same user details, and we're working on merging all duplicate accounts like this. Try to login to your existing account or you can reset your password. If you still have trouble, please contact Customer Service so we can resolve this for you.
Due to our agreements with publishers, we are not able to publicize the release dates of any game until it has been officially announced. If you don't see a particular game on our website, it is not currently available for sale. Please stay tuned to our homepage and news sections for further announcements if and when the game your'e looking for becomes available. Unfortunately, we will be unable to respond to requests asking when an unlisted game will be available. However, we welcome your suggestions, so please feel free to contact Customer Service to let them know what games you'd like to see in the future.
We are pleased to offer our customers the convenience of online payment using your VISA or MasterCard Credit Card via our secure payment provider or a direct withdrawal from your bank account (using PayPal's eCheck system). We also offer you the flexibility to use your PayPal account directly (ExpressCheckout). All payments are processed securely.
All products listed and sold at GameTree Mac are advertised in U.S. dollars ($USD). Please note applicable taxes will be charged where required. Your bank or credit card merchant may levy additional fees for completing an online purchase or for currency conversion. GameTree Mac does not collect or administer these additional fees.
Login to your GameTree Mac account and click on "Previous Orders". Here it will show you the orders you've placed with us, and under "Status" it will show you the status of your order. If you hover over the status you can find an explanation of what the status means.
If your order status is marked as "Queued", your order has been placed in a queue to be processed. This can be for one of two reasons:
If you did NOT pay using an "eCheck" payment, your order is most likely "Queued" due to one or more of our security filters being flagged which required your order to be reviewed and processed by a member of our team. This can sometimes be caused by a discrepancy in the information you have provided or repeated declines. We will review and process your order as soon as possible. Your patience is appreciated as these security filters are ultimately in place to protect you, our valued customer.
If you paid using your bank account via PayPal's "eCheck" option, PayPal does not officially "complete" the transaction of funds immediately - instead, the process of clearing these funds will take approximately three to four (3-4) business days on average. Once the transaction is listed as "cleared" and the payment is processed on our end, you will immediately receive your email. If it has been greater than seven (7) days and you have not yet received your email, please feel free to contact Customer Service and we'll be happy to assist you further.
Your purchase information is always available to you under your "Previous Orders" once you login to your account. You can find your download link and activation code(s) (if applicable) there at any time, regardless of receipt of an email.
An eCheck is a payment that you make directly from your bank account. Just like a regular check, it usually takes between 3-5 business days for an eCheck to clear and the money to appear in the recipient's PayPal account. To send an eCheck, just link your bank account to your PayPal account and choose ExpressCheckout as your payment option.
The most common reason an order is Declined (or Failed) is because the credit card, bank information, or CVV numbers entered were incorrect. Please ensure all payment information is accurate, and if an order is still unsuccessful you may wish to try a different card, or use the ExpressCheckout payment method instead.
If your payment information is correct, it is possible that the transaction was declined by your bank, rather than at our end and you may wish to contact your bank to see if they can tell you more about why this happened.
With some credit cards, a pre-authorization feature can make Declined charges initially appear, but as the trail of data catches up the charges will register as having been declined rather than processed. This can sometimes take up to seven (7) business days to reconcile. If the charges remain after this time, please contact Customer Service to look into your account.
As noted on each product page, all of our products are not eligible for refunds. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a refund for a digital product order once an activation code has been assigned. We ask that as with any digital software purchase, that you verify your purchase before completing the transaction. This includes verifying the product(s) in your downloads, pricing, quantity, and most importantly system requirements to ensure you have the required minimum hardware to operate your purchase from GameTree Mac PRIOR to completing your purchase.
Pre-order purchases are eligible, but not guaranteed for refund and are extended at GameTree Mac's sole discretion, only prior to the release of the product.
Yes, you can! GameTree Mac now offers customers the convenience of sending games as gifts! In your downloads you would select "purchase as a gift", and once the purchase is complete we will deliver your game and download instructions via e-mail to the person you chose to send the gift to, on the date provided with the (optional) message you may have enclosed.
Buying gifts through GameTree Mac is real easy:
Please note that if there are any issues with your order (e.g. payment issues or your order is marked as Queued), there could be additional delays.
Login to your GameTree Mac account and click on "Previous Orders". All of your order information is available there for review.
No. Once a gift is sent, that gift belongs to the recipient.
After receiving your gift (you need to "claim" the gift to your GameTree Mac account in order to receive it) it will be associated on your account forever. Simply login to your GameTree Mac account, and click on "My Gifts". You will be able to view all of the gifts that you have received from here which will contain your download link, activation code(s) (if applicable) and information about who sent you the gift with the enclosed optional message sent with it.
If your gift has not been received, it could be that the email address was entered correctly when you placed your order, or your recipient's mail server flagged it as spam. Kindly ask them to check their junk mail folder. If you are certain they have not received their email, please contact Customer Service for assistance and we will be able to send the gift again.
We think it's more fun when you buy gifts for your friends or family. From time to time you may want to spoil yourself, and we think that's totally okay! While we discourage doing so, you may want to treat yourself on a future date to that game you've been wanting. We've heard and seen it all — perhaps you're a student going through a busy exam period and don't want the distraction until two weeks from now, but you really want to secure that Collector's Edition of your favourite Mac game — because of this, we've left the option available for you to gift yourself. Go for it!
Our standard Refund Policy applies.
Please make sure that you use a wired (as opposed to wireless) internet connection for increased reliability, especially for larger downloads. If you are using the GameTree Mac Download Manager and you receive an error message, you may wish to try the direct (alternate) download option instead. The direct download link is on your game's download page, or you can access it through your Previous Orders. If your download issue persists, contact Customer Service and we will be happy to provide further assistance.
You can always access your game downloads by logging in to your GameTree Mac account and then going to Previous Orders. You can find your download and activation code(s) (if applicable) from there.
Once your payment is confirmed, you will be sent an e-mail containing a download link for the game and an activation code (if applicable). This information is also available from within your Orders History once logged in to your GameTree Mac account.
Our specialized GameTree Download Manager (GTDM) will allow you to begin, pause/resume and complete your download fast and easily. For convenience, most downloads are offered as a ".dmg" file (Apple Disk Image). Once your download is complete, the disk image should be automatically mounted (if using the GTDM) - otherwise, you can "mount" the image by simply clicking on it. You will then be able to launch the game's installer (if available), otherwise simply click and drag the game's icon to your Applications folder as directed.
Once you launch the game for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the activation code to activate your game (if applicable). You must have an Internet connection in order to activate the game.
You have purchased the game, therefore it works like any retail disc copy and you can keep and play the game as long as you wish.
All games at GameTree Mac are only available on the Apple Mac platform.
Visit the Technical Support section for more information on where to go for help for your game. All games are supported by the game's publisher.
Before contacting any Technical Support staff, it may be a good idea to generate an Apple System Profile that you can provide. You can also use this for yourself to verify if your system meets a game's posted requirements. On Mac OS X, simply navigate to "Applications" in Finder, then "Utilities" and select "System Profiler". Alternatively, you can open this by clicking on the "Apple" in the top left corner of your screen, then selecting "About This Mac" and then "More Info". Once in the System Profiler application, you can select "File" and then "Save As..." in the menu bar to save your profile. From here you can also view various aspects of your system such as your Graphics Card if you wanted to compare with a game's system requirements.
