Download Manager
What is the GameTree Download Manager?
The GameTree Download Manager (GameTreeDM) is an application that assists users with their GameTree Mac purchase experience. As games can be quite large, this offers the ability to pause and resume downloads at any time. In the event of any download interruption, the GameTreeDM will continue where it left off and verify its progress along the way to ensure that your download is completed successfully.
Downloading & Installing the GameTreeDM
When you purchase a game from GameTree Mac your download link will provide further instructions on downloading the GameTreeDM if we cannot detect that it is already installed on your Mac. Click on Download GameTree Download Manager, as seen in the example below:

Complete your download and follow the installation instructions. It is recommended that the GameTreeDM be installed to the default location.
Using the GameTreeDM
The best part about using the GameTreeDM is that it is a seamless experience! It integrates with your browser, so that when you open a GameTree Mac download URL, the GameTreeDM will take over and begin the download process automatically. You can always launch the GameTreeDM application manually if you want to continue (resume) a download that you already started recently.
After installation, your download page should look like this:

Note that you may need to restart your browser for the GameTreeDM to take effect. In some cases, you may have to reload the web page, clear your cache, or restart your browser application then click the URL link provided in the purchase email.

Your browser will indicate that the link you are trying to open needs to use the GameTree Download Manager. Click "OK" to open the GameTreeDM and begin the download process.

Your download will begin and you will have the option to Pause or Abort it.
When a download is complete, the GameTreeDM will automatically open the game image (DMG), presenting the game as ready to be installed by the user. Simply proceed with the presented installation process to complete installation of your game. You can then exit the GameTreeDM application and eject (unmount) your mounted game's DMG, and launch the game from your Applications folder, just like any other Mac application download.
Where are downloaded games saved to?
By default, all downloaded games are saved to the Downloads folder on your Mac, located in your home directory. If your Downloads folder does not exist, the GameTreeDM will create it for you. If you want to change the download location, you can do so within the GameTreeDM application Preferences window, available by clicking on the menu item within the application.
